Asset Based Lending Payables Workshop is a subset of the Intermediate ABL Course with a focus that is centered on only Accounts Payable.  

Note that this course includes Payables basics covered in the Introduction to ABL Courses and all of the materials used in the Payables section of the  Intermediate ABL Audit Course

ABL-Help ABLHelp  - Comes with ABL-Help Classic reference program, THE industry standard for Ineligibles, definitions, fishbone diagrams, math formulas and more.

Participants Will be Able to:

  • Perform their assigned field examination tasks in the payable testing area with more insight into potential risk areas.

  • Reduce fraud in the payable area through more detailed analysis and analytics.

  • Assess payable collateral risk areas with more knowledge of where the numbers can be manipulated.

  • Know when to gather more payable information to perform deeper analysis.

  • Have the skills to perform alternative payable analysis when some of the data is not available.

  • Learn to focus on payable risk assessments

  • Provide focused comments and recommendations for accounts payable

Objectives - Performing deeper payable analysis and identifying risk signs can provide comfort that payable amounts are actually OK or lead to an insights of problems that could impair Lender assets.  This course is designed to provide the skills and techniques to evaluate those payable risks and mitigate factors that could impair lender assets.  Participants will enhance their skills in data acquisition and interpretive methods to allow for better questions and answers to changing payable conditions at a Borrower.

Prerequisites - An understanding of accounting and one year or more of field examination experience is recommended.  Participants that have taken the Intermediate ABL Examinations Course should not take this course.
